Coming big exhibitions, electronics Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, 6-9 January 2011, word got out that Microsoft will launch Windows TV. Seattle Times website on Tuesday (01/04/2011), reported a set top box device that is equipped software made by Microsoft to access the Internet television service will be sold for 200 U.S. dollars.
It was reported that the software used is a version of Windows for embedded devices running the Windows Media Center. The device is equipped with remote control and the ability to access services via internet streaming.
Previously, Microsoft has worked on a video streaming service via Xbox 360. The presence of a special set top box to access Internet video will tighten competition with Apple that had already been providing Apple TV and Google are planning to release the Google TV by cooperating with Logitech and Sony.
